Today, Christians wait for the joy of Easter.
It’s a :in-between day.”
Imagine the followers of Christ on that Saturday: uncertain, even frightened. Certainly anxious.
Holy Saturday is a day for silence. Jesus is silent that day. His body, wrapped in a clean Shroud, is in the tomb …
Tomb Saturday. That’s how it feels to me. The devastation of Good Friday … the Joy of Easter - in between is silence and the cold tomb.
A good day to pray for forgiveness and mercy. And to pray for those who hurt me or whom I hurt.

Our uncertainty is felt but it is a lie: tomorrow, certainty of Christ resurrected. We know this.
