Good morning,
I often tell my radio listeners to distrust but verify, after Ronald Reagan’s “trust but verify.” This is especially prescient advice in the age of AI-generated deepfakes. Just this week, a video came out of President Biden staring blankly into a cheering crowd. He is only awakened from his stupor when Barack Obama grabs his hand to lead him away. This is, of course, typical of Biden’s public appearances at this point, but this did not stop White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre from claiming the video was a deepfake. The Narrative Machine does not want you to even believe your own eyes anymore, except for when they tell you that you can. Distrust everything that they say, and verify everything yourself.
All the best.
